President’s daughter gives birth in Singapore

Zimbabwean president’s daughter, Bona Mugabe, might have thrown some tantrums.

She is said to have flown to Singapore to give birth, thereby showcasing to the world that the
first family does not have confidence in Zimbabwe’s health care facilities.

According to China Central Television (CCTV Africa), Zimbabwe’s major hospitals are on the verge of collapse due to a combination of incompetence, corruption and neglect according to Comptroller and Auditor-General,
Mildred Chiri, report of 2014.

Statistics show that each day eight women die while giving birth, and 100 children die from childbirth and
neonatal complications.


Although Bona didn’t use public funds, going to Singapore portrays the first family’s hypocrisy. Mugabe also gets medical attention at the state of the art Gleneagles Hospital and Medical Centre in Singapore. First lady Grace Mugabe also seeks treatment in the Asian country reports the Zimbabwe Independent.
